Clinical Scientist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging Grade 8B Salary Range £43,221 - £53,432 There has recently been a rapid increase in MRI capacity in Northern Ireland. The Medical Physics Agency provides scientific support for these scanners and is seeking to appoint an experienced clinical scientist to lead the further development of these services. The appointee will also be expected to provide support and assist in developing other areas of imaging including multi-modality imaging and PACs. The successful applicant will join the Radiological Sciences and Imaging Service of the Medical Physics Agency, a team of scientists and technical officers committed to the provision of a quality support service ensuring the quality and safety of imaging systems. The post also provides exciting opportunities to be involved in and develop clinical and scientific research in medical imaging. He/she should have a vision for the future development of scientific and clinical research in imaging. Applicants should have a 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree in Physics or other appropriate subject. Applicants should be State Registered as a Clinical Scientist and have a minimum of 6 years’ post trainee experience in clinical MRI physics. A relevant higher degree and a track record in R&D in Medical Imaging would be a distinct advantage.
