Raise your hand to speak and do not talk while someone else is. 4. Come prepared and ready to work every day! MATERIALS NEEDED – the following materials need to be brought to class every day. Scientific/Graphing Calculator Pencil Notebook/Binder Agenda GRADES - Your grades will be calculated with the following groups. Everything will be based on points. Homework (10 – 25 points) – graded on accuracy and effort and will be assigned almost daily. Quizzes (25 – 50 points) – graded on accuracy and will be given weekly. Tests (100 points) – graded on accuracy and will be given once a chapter. You will have 2 days for every day you miss to make the work up for full credit. Any other late work will receive half credit and needs to be turned in 5 days before the current quarter ends. Test and quizzes will need to be made up after school only! Tests may be retaken given the following conditions: o You must attend one tutoring session o All homework must be completed for that unit o Original test must be corrected o The maximum grade you can earn is a 65% o The retake must be taken outside of class time and within 2 weeks of the original test date TENTATIVE COURSE SCHEDULE – The first half of the year will focus solely on ACT prep. The second half of the year will focus on advanced topics that will prepare students for future classes and the real world after high school.
