If missing, 10% will be deducted. Pop quizzes cannot be made up. Make up tests must be completed according to school policy. Retakes on tests must be completed within 5 school days of the original test. The highest score will be recorded. Retakes may not be taken on the same day original test is given. Homework/Written Assignments All daily assignments are to be turned in at the conclusion of class, unless otherwise instructed. Each assignment must have the student’s name, hour, date, and title. Place all work in the appropriate basket. DECA/Leadership Grades As a member of this class, you are a part of DECA, and it is expected that you participate in community service activities. In order to attend meetings, field trips, conferences etc., you must be a member of DECA (pay dues). State and National Dues for 2014-2015 are $20. Due by September 29th for 100 Pts The leadership grade consists of participating in various activities. These activities include community service projects, monthly meetings, program activities, and market research some will be provided during school and some after school. If a student is already performing community service, talk to Mrs. Stanley on how it might apply. A student is expected to accumulate 400 DECA pts. for leadership per semester to receive a 100% for his/her DECA grade Production, Customer Service, Sales Each student will be required to participate in the production and sales of our cookie company in the classroom. They will be required to inventory, sell and promote the cookies to the student body. They will receive a weekly grade on their job performance. A major goal of this class is to teach students how to conduct themselves in a work environment to ensure a successful transition from school to work. Each day every student will receive a soft-skills (citizenship) grade based on his/her work ethics demonstrated during the day. This grade will count 25 points per week. The following is a list of possible infractions: · · · · · · · · · · · Inappropriate computer and Internet usage Poor customer service Talking during the lecture Sleeping in class Cell phone interruptions (ringing, texting, etc.) Disruptive or disrespectful behavior in class or selling Hall passes Leaving work area a mess Not being prepared for class Tardy No student ID badge When given permission, a student may work on assignments from other classes once all work for this class is completed. Anyone working on another subject without permission will have that work taken away and not returned. The instructor will dismiss class. Please do not start getting ready to leave until given permission.
