Clerk patients prior to surgery and care for patients post-op General Surgical wards at MRI Where the placement is based Clinical Supervisor(s) for the Various placement Main duties of the placement FY1 doctor cares for patients on the ward, does ward round every day. Occasionally required to assist in theatre. Typical working pattern in this 8 - 5pm monday to friday ward cover Long days placement ( 8 -9) on call as well as weekend long days and nights (17:30 - 3:30 am). Following the predicted merger of CMFT with Trafford in 2012 it is likely that some or all trainees entering this combined program will work across both sites during their two year rotation. It may be necessary to change the location of posts if services move between the two sites within the next three years.
