Tuesday – Information at the St John’s Health Clinic
10.00 – 11.30 every other week
Tuesday – Bumps and Babes 10.30 – 11.45
For Mums-to-be and mums with babies up to 12 months. A chance to meet
other new parents and talk about babies – or anything but! This group is for
non-walkers – walkers will be welcome at the Wednesday session
Wednesday – Parents, Babies and Toddlers 10.00 – 11.15 In the School Hall
- for mums/dads/carers/grandparents with babies and children under 5 living
in St John’s Knaphill Children’s Centre area - please ring to check or look at
the website if you are not sure if you live in our post coded area. Come and
have a coffee and meet other parents – and play with your children
Wednesday – Parenting Puzzle 19.00 – 21.00 A ten week course that
encourages parents and carers to enjoy bringing up children and get the best
out of family life. It offers positive, practical ways of guiding children so
they learn to handle both their feelings and their behaviour. The course is
informal, fun and a great confidence booster. If you would like to know
more about the course please ring or mail the centre
Thursday – Play and Learn 10.00 – 11.30 At Beaufort School – in Sythwood
Children’s Centre accommodation – for children 0 – 4 - no need to book
Thursday – First time Mums 10.45 – 12.15 A rolling 6 week programme for
new mums - midwife led – discussing – amongst other things - motherhood,
relationships, parenting styles, feelings and self-esteem Booking is required
– please contact the centre for more information.
Thursday – 27 month check - 1.30 – 3.00 Invitation only - from Health
Saturday -Dad’s Stay and Play 10.00 – 11.30
Last Saturday of each month Bring along your child(ren), between 0 – 5 years
old, have breakfast and meet other Dads/Grandads. Come to the New
Nursery and you can join in with their play and have fun.

There are Sure Start Children’s Centres all over the country and they are
for all families with children up to five years old. The Centres run activities,
most of which are FREE and have lots of information about free early
education, child care, employment, training, health and everything that
affects anyone caring for young children. Come and visit the Centre to find
out more about services in the area, for information and to meet other local
families.
