Marla B.K. Sammer, M.D., DABR® graduated with a B.A. from Southern Adventist University, Collegedale, TN. She graduated cum laude from Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA. She then spent a transitional year at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. She completed a Diagnostic Radiology Residency and a Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Sammer was an Acting Assistant Professor of Pediatric Radiology at University of Washington/Seattle Children's. Dr. Sammer has specialized in Pediatric Radiology at Erlanger since July 2010. Dr. Sammer is board certified by the American Board of Radiology, and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Pediatric Radiology. Dr. Sammer has multiple peer reviewed publications, including in Pediatric Radiology, the American Journal of Roentgenology, and the Journal of Nuclear Medicine. Awards she has received for research include the Society of Nuclear Medicine Pediatric Imaging Council Young Investigator Award, the RSNA Certificate of Merit for Education Exhibit, and the ARRS Silver Medal for Electronic Presentation.
