JEE Main 2015 Eligibility Criteria
 Candidate must have passed Class XII
qualifying
examination (or its equivalent) in 2013 or 2014
 If a candidate has already attempted three times, he/she
is ineligible for JEE Main 2015.
 Candidate must be born on or after 1 October 1989
(1984 for SC, ST or PH).
 If a candidate has passed Class XII with four subjects
in 2013 or 2014, he/she may apply as well however a
candidate passing in 2015 must have five subjects in
Class XII.
• The five subjects will be taken into account for calculation of
percentile and normalization of qualifying examination marks
for paper 1(B.E./B. Tech.) and paper 2 (B. Arch./B.
Planning)of JEE (Main) which are:

2- Physics,
3- Mathematics,
4- Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology,
Technical Vocational Subject),
• 5- Any other subject.

• April 4, 2015 (Saturday) (Pen & Paper Based
Examination)
• April 10 (Friday) & 11 (Saturday), 2015
(Computer Based Examination)
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
• Candidates of JEE (Main) - 2015 have to apply online only.
There is no printed application form for JEE (Main).
• Please ensure that you are filling genuine application form
available online at JEE (Main) website (www.jeemain.nic.in).
• In case the examination fee is paid through credit/debit card,
the candidates will need to pay an additional processing charge
as following:• Credit Card:- 1.20% of the examination fee plus the service tax
as applicable.
• Debit Card:- 0.75% +taxes for examination fee up to Rs.2000
and 1% +taxes for examination fee more than Rs.2000.
• Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form.
More than one application i.e. Multiple applications from a
candidate will be rejected.
CHOICE OF MEDIUM OF QUESTION PAPERS
• All Examination Centre Cities : English and Hindi Medium
• Examination Centre Cities in Maharashtra : English, Hindi,
Marathi and Urdu
• The option of question paper language should be exercised
while filling up the Application Form and it cannot be changed
at a later stage.
• JEE (Main) - 2015 will be conducted in major cities and towns
of India as well as abroad. The lists of cities are given in
brochure
• While applying, candidates must select four centre cities in
case of Pen & Paper based examination and one city in case of
Computer based examination.
• The score of Paper-I of JEE (Main) – 2015 for all
candidates will be declared by 27th April 2015.
• Separately, on the basis of score in JEE (Main)-2015
and normalized score in Class 12th or equivalent
qualifying exam (60% & 40% weightage
respectively) rank will be finalized.
• JEE (Main)-2015 Rank Card indicating All India
Rank, State Rank and Category Rank with total marks
and marks in each paper will be available on JEE
(Main) website after the declaration of result.

Type of Candidature for Maharashtra State
candidates:
Example : A Candidate who has passed HSC from Nanded and qualifying examination from a
college affiliated to Calicut University and the Father of the candidate is issued with a
Maharashtra Domicile Certificate from Nagpur Authority will have Type of Candidature as “B”
and Home University as “Nagpur University.”
Note: These candidates should produce the Domicile Certificate of Candidate/Father or
Mother
of the candidate at the time of submission of “Application form for Admission through CAP”.
The domicile certificate of Mother of the candidate shall be supported with marriage certificate
and legal proof of change in name if any. Such candidates will be required to submit birth
certificate of the candidate clearly mentioning the name of the mother

1. Documents required at the time of verification and confirmation of
Application form for Admission (CAP) at ARC:
a.
Certificate of Indian Nationality and Domicile certificate in the name of the
Candidate
b.
Statement of marks of HSC and SSC
c. Statement of marks for the Bachelors Degree Examination (i.e. the qualifying
Degree examination) in case the candidate has passed the bachelors degree
examination
d. Caste certificate (if applicable)
e. Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate
f. Non Creamy Layer certificate* valid up to 31st March 2015 (if applicable)
g. Domicile certificate** of candidates father/mother (if applicable), clearly
indicating the place of permanent residence of the candidate/father or mother or
Husband
h. Domicile certificate of candidate:- In case of Type-A candidate In lieu of Domicile
certificate candidates should produce Birth Certificate of candidate indicating place
of birth in Maharashtra OR School Leaving Certificate indicating place of birth of
candidate is in Maharashtra
