An I N F O R M A T ION ON Joint Entrance Examination (Main) - 2015 Submission of Online Application Form: 07.11.2014 – 18.12.2014 JEE Main 2015 Eligibility Criteria Candidate must have passed Class XII qualifying examination (or its equivalent) in 2013 or 2014 If a candidate has already attempted three times, he/she is ineligible for JEE Main 2015. Candidate must be born on or after 1 October 1989 (1984 for SC, ST or PH). If a candidate has passed Class XII with four subjects in 2013 or 2014, he/she may apply as well however a candidate passing in 2015 must have five subjects in Class XII. • The five subjects will be taken into account for calculation of percentile and normalization of qualifying examination marks for paper 1(B.E./B. Tech.) and paper 2 (B. Arch./B. Planning)of JEE (Main) which are: • • • • 1- Language, 2- Physics, 3- Mathematics, 4- Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject), • 5- Any other subject. • DATE OF EXAMINATION: • April 4, 2015 (Saturday) (Pen & Paper Based Examination) • April 10 (Friday) & 11 (Saturday), 2015 (Computer Based Examination) IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS • Candidates of JEE (Main) - 2015 have to apply online only. There is no printed application form for JEE (Main). • Please ensure that you are filling genuine application form available online at JEE (Main) website (www.jeemain.nic.in). • In case the examination fee is paid through credit/debit card, the candidates will need to pay an additional processing charge as following:• Credit Card:- 1.20% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable. • Debit Card:- 0.75% +taxes for examination fee up to Rs.2000 and 1% +taxes for examination fee more than Rs.2000. • Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form. More than one application i.e. Multiple applications from a candidate will be rejected. CHOICE OF MEDIUM OF QUESTION PAPERS • All Examination Centre Cities : English and Hindi Medium • Examination Centre Cities in Maharashtra : English, Hindi, Marathi and Urdu • The option of question paper language should be exercised while filling up the Application Form and it cannot be changed at a later stage. • JEE (Main) - 2015 will be conducted in major cities and towns of India as well as abroad. The lists of cities are given in brochure • While applying, candidates must select four centre cities in case of Pen & Paper based examination and one city in case of Computer based examination. • The score of Paper-I of JEE (Main) – 2015 for all candidates will be declared by 27th April 2015. • Separately, on the basis of score in JEE (Main)-2015 and normalized score in Class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam (60% & 40% weightage respectively) rank will be finalized. • JEE (Main)-2015 Rank Card indicating All India Rank, State Rank and Category Rank with total marks and marks in each paper will be available on JEE (Main) website after the declaration of result.
