New Retail Customer Win
Announcement
OCSE manages all elections – local, state and federal – for all of Orange County Florida. They have developed their own software
application to assist in processing citizens when they arrive to vote. Citizens are able to move quickly through voting lines by presenting
their FL driver’s license (or appropriate ID) for online verification with the State of FL database. Upon verification, citizen signs the HP
ElitePad confirming their address and identity and begin the actual voting process. OCSE is recognized within the State of Florida for being
a leader in deploying technology, so this is a signature win for HP within that community.
Team: Tammy Malone - Account Manager; Rene Cortes – ISR; Todd Renner - RPOS Specialist; Craig Kavanaugh - Channel Sales Manager;
Doug Polkosky, Thomas Computer Corporation (HP Partner)
Key Factors in Win: 1) Ability to read a FL drivers license three ways – integrated MSR, integrated image scanner, integrated tablet
camera; 2) The ease of porting the existing application from a Windows PC to Windows 8 on the ElitePad; 3) OCSE’s longstanding
relationship with HP Partner Thomas Computer and their ability to provide custom solutions for OCSE’s use.
