TIPS FROM KATHY DALY
Be prepared: what do you already
know? Have questions ready, but
remain flexible
 Conduct all interviews IN PERSON
 Ask the right questions: NOT “yes” or
“no” answers
 Be aware of your role
 Observe
 Wrap it up professionally
 Post Interview Reflection


meet
 Be friendly
 Be in a comfortable
environment
DON’T:
 Get too personal
 Intimidate them
 Go off topic

DON’T…

Rely on just one tactic
to get an interview

person to get all your

 Misquote them.


ESPECIALLY school
administrators/staff
Spell/misprint the
person’s name wrong

Forget that when you
interview someone, you’re
representing YOUR
yearbook staff and your
adviser
USE WHAT YOU LEARNED..
ACTIVITY TIME!
