Course participants will be given access and training in the use of entry level HD video camera kits.
“Talking head” videos are one of the most effective and simplest forms of video. This course will provide you with a good grounding in fundamental video production processes, and will focus on interview techniques that will help you to get the most out of your interview subjects and create engaging and effective videos.
Participants will be expected to define, plan and produce a short talking head video.

Creating compelling videos
Interview techniques and questions
Defining and planning a talking head video
Support and facilitation for all stages of the production process
Face to face session 1- planning, interview and production techniques (2 hours)
Defining and planning a video production overview
Interview techniques
Production skills – using video camera kit / sound and light
Production skills setting and composition
Face to face session 2 – editing and post production (2 hours)
Post production workflow – working with video files and introduction to video editing
Producing video for online delivery / streaming through the VLE
Self directed project / 1:1 support
Application of skills covered in the course and the opportunity to work on your own video project.
