


Passive voice 4: the causative or “have something



 The plumber repaired my bathroom yesterday.
 I had my bathroom repaired yesterday.



SUBJECT (person who receives the benefit of the action)
+ HAVE (in the appropriate tense) + OBJECT (the same
as in the active voice) + PAST PARTICIPLE OF THE MAIN
VERB.
The verb “to have” can be substituted by “to get”.

