There are many people who speak English well, and who have good knowledge of Islam, yet they are unable to communicate cross-culturally effectively in English on Islamic subjects primarily because they lack the proper terminology and right communication skills to do so. Presenting Islam English Islamic Terminology CrossCultural Communication By the end of the program the participants will have acquired the following: An improvement of the Islamic English Language competence The ability to discuss Islamic concepts in English The ability to give short presentations on Islamic topics of their choice Reasonable knowledge of Islamic English terminology An awareness of the subtleties and importance of language sensitivity in cross-cultural communication Ignition of the passion to use English communication skills for presenting Islam Requirements Willingness to present Islam in its true light. Able to take part in a conversation on general topics. Possess a basic level of fluency in English Previous experience as a da’ee is not a must. Duration The program consists of a total of 32 hours 16 hours in class 16 hours working on projects outside the class This workshop may be offered as a 3 or 4-hour or 1-day workshop Participants Anyone who will be using English at work / life as a medium of communication (Doctors, English teachers, engineers, etc) Course Materials Basic concepts in Islam (Pamphlets) The 90 Qs Powerpoint (What does Islam Stand For?)
