Emma Thorsander is a director that since 2012 is based in Stockholm. She is active in the film collective RåFILM and has studied
documentary and fiction. Emma has written, directed and produced a number of award winning short films. Emma’s inspiration comes from reality and she moves freely between fiction and
documentary. Her films examine the themes of identity, power
and the body.
Emma is currently studying screenwriting for film and television
at Broby Grafiska.

RåFILM is a collective of filmmakers and a non-profit organization. The association has had it’s base in Malmö and Stockholm in
Sweden, and has over the years established itself as a producer of
political documentaries and experimental fiction films.
RåFILM focuses on social problems and development issues.
Through their film productions they work for a more just and
equal society.
