Public accountability and state approval for teacher preparation
programs
The rules to establish uniform core curricula for each state-approved
teacher preparation program must include, but are not limited to, a
State Board of Education identified foundation in scientifically
researched, knowledge-based reading literacy and computational skills
acquisition; classroom management; school safety; professional
ethics; educational law; human development and learning; and
understanding of the Sunshine State Standards content measured by
state achievement tests, reading and interpretation of data, and use of
data to improve student achievement.
