

The Constitution of our Academic Senate
directs us to hold at least one, scheduled,
all-faculty meeting each academic year.
Today is it!


Faculty who are not senators and don’t
attend senate meetings can be brought up
to date on the work of the Senate.
All faculty and staff have the chance to hear
from the President, the Provost, the Senate
Chair, and the Brakebill Award honoree.

◦ To build new programs and curriculum
◦ To participate in the service work that is
essential to the university
◦ To replace a wave of faculty retirement as
we mark 25 years in existence as a campus
◦ To create a steady pipeline of Associate and
Full Professors


Full Professor burnout is a reality and the
number of FERPers is growing.
Our small pool of Assistant Professors risks
the same down the line if we do not add new
tenure track faculty yearly.
