• The World Electronics Forum (WEF) is a voluntary
gathering of CEOs and Directors of electronics industry
associations worldwide. Founded in 1995, WEF meets
annually to discuss major topics of common interest to
the various associations, exchange information on
services and data and strengthen relations between
associations for the benefit and service of our industries
•The 18th Annual World Electronics Forum (WEF) will
be held in Hanoi, Vietnam from May 13-16, 2013. The
host association for the 18th WEF is Vietnam Electronic
Association (VEIA).

Industry is remarkable: export of the industry in 2012
reach $US 20.5 billion, 18% of total export, in which :
- Mobile Phone and accessories : $US 12.6 billion.
- Computer and components : $US 7.9 billion.

2013 forecast : FDI into Vietnam Electronics Industry
increase, export reach 22-25 $US billion and the
industry become Export No.1 of country economy.

• Hanoi, the capital and the second largest city of
Vietnam is a fusion of the ancient and the modern.

Ha Long Bay
• Enjoy a tour of the Ha Long Bay. The Bay is situated 165
km from Hanoi, reachable by a 3 hours Road Journey.
• Ha Long Bay, in the Gulf of Tonkin, includes some 1,600
islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of
limestone pillars. Because of their precipitous nature, most
of the islands are uninhabited and unaffected by a human
presence. The site's outstanding scenic beauty is
complemented by its great biological interest.
• The Bay is famous for its scenic ocean karst topography
and is often included in lists of natural wonders of the world.
• In 1994, the core zone of Hạ Long Bay was listed by
UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Arrangements envisaged
• Airport Pick-up and Drop :
- In Monday 13th, May, 2013 VEIA staff will be at the Noi Bai
International Airport to receive and arrange transportation
and coordinating welcome of each delegates and onward
transportation to Hotel.
- Other VEIA staff will be at Hanoi Daewoo Hotel Reception
to coordinate and receive and guide the guest for easy
check-in. Hotel will do traditional Vietnamese Welcome to all
guest and a separate Desk for documentation at the Hotel
Lobby. Our staff will also be coordinating activities and
movements of Spouse for local transportation/shopping etc.
• Health :
Vietnam-French Hospital in Hanoi would be the referral
hospital for any emergency.
