NARRATIVE REPORT ON SCHOOL- BASED LAC ON
CONDUCTING RESEARCH
Introduction:
Date: May 12, 2023
The School-Based Learning Activity on Conducting Research was a significant undertaking
that required efficient planning and management to ensure its success. As the management
team responsible for overseeing the activity, we focused on providing a supportive and
organized environment for both teachers and students. This narrative report outlines the
management guidelines implemented to facilitate the smooth execution of the School-Based
LAC on Conducting Research.
1. Pre-Activity Planning:
Effective planning was critical to the success of the activity. We established clear learning
objectives, identified resources needed, and formed a management committee comprising
experienced teachers and school administrators. The committee played a pivotal role in
decision-making, task delegation, and monitoring progress throughout the event.
2. Timely Communication:
Open and timely communication was key to keeping all stakeholders informed about the
activity's details and expectations. We conducted orientation sessions for teachers and
students to explain the objectives, schedule, and guidelines of the School-Based LAC on
Conducting Research. Regular updates were provided through emails, notices, and dedicated
online platforms.

3. Resource Allocation:
Allocating adequate resources was essential to facilitate a conducive research environment.
We ensured that the school library had relevant research materials, and the computer labs
were equipped with necessary software for data analysis. Additionally, we collaborated with
teachers to provide essential teaching materials and reference books.
4. Mentoring and Support:
To assist students throughout the research process, we assigned experienced teachers as
mentors to guide them during proposal development, data collection, analysis, and
presentation. The mentors offered personalized feedback and support, fostering a positive
learning experience for the students.
5. Flexible Schedule:
Recognizing that students might have other academic commitments, we designed a flexible
schedule for the activity. We balanced theoretical sessions with practical exercises to
accommodate different learning styles and to ensure that students could manage their time
effectively.
6. Evaluation and Feedback:
To gauge the effectiveness of the School-Based LAC on Conducting Research, we
conducted periodic evaluations, gathering feedback from teachers, students, and mentors.
This allowed us to identify strengths and areas for improvement, enabling us to make
necessary adjustments for future iterations of the activity.
7. Research Symposium:
The research symposium served as the culmination of the activity. We organized the
symposium meticulously, ensuring appropriate presentation facilities, inviting guest

speakers, and encouraging student participation. The event provided a platform for students
to showcase their research findings, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride.
8. Addressing Challenges:
Throughout the activity, we were proactive in addressing challenges faced by students and
teachers. We facilitated open communication channels for them to voice their concerns and
provided timely assistance. Addressing issues promptly helped maintain enthusiasm and
motivation among participants.
Conclusion:
The successful implementation of the School-Based Learning Activity on Conducting
Research was attributed to effective management guidelines and the collaborative efforts of
teachers, students, and the management committee. By adhering to the planning,
communication, and support strategies outlined in this report, we were able to create a
meaningful and enriching learning experience for all involved. As we continue to refine our
