I. OBJECTIVES
Content Standards:
The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts, uses and
importance of Statistics, data collection/gathering and the different forms of
data representation, measures of central tendency, measures of variability, and
probability.
Performance Standards:
The learner is able to collect and organize data systematically and
compute accurately measures of central tendency and variability and apply
these appropriately in sata analysis and interpretation in the different fields.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
A. Define frequency and frequency distribution
B. Organize ungrouped data in a frequency distribution table
C. Promote cooperation in doing an activity

Give each students assorted candies/chocolates.
Ask them to sort the candies/chocolates, count the numbers of each kind
and write on the given table.

Example #1
LJ’s mother goes home with a box of assorted fruits. The fruits
inside the box are shown below. Organize the given data in a Frequency
Distribution Table.

1. Make an FDT, label each column and write its title.
2. Write the categories in the first column.
3. Tally the number of occurences of a particular fruit.
4. Write the equivalent number of frequency from the tally and total
the data. Use N to represent the entire population.
