SOLAR COLLECTING FABRIC
Prototype ultra-thin photovoltaic device that was coated with a stretchable and waterproof film that
would not only mean they could be fitted to fabrics, and therefore clothing, it would also make them
machine-washable.
The fabric designated as solar collecting fabric was created with the purpose of absorbing and storing
solar energy
Imagine being able to check your fitness and activity levels and keep your smartphone charged just by
wearing a specific fabric, all without having to carry around a charger cord.
