Introduction Purpose of My Internship The major focus of an internship program is on learning professional skills, abilities, and activities practiced in rehabilitation and human services settings where the focus is on helping clients develop psychosocial, physical, recreational, vocational/career, social, and/or independent living skills. Students get involved in as many aspects of the internship process as their academic training and variations in agency/facility functions and services permit. Students are able to demonstrate the following competencies at the end of the internship: 1. Basic listening skills. 2. Understanding ethical and legal issues related to RHS. 3. Understanding of and ability to evaluate RHS assessments and reports. 4. Awareness of how interpersonal and intrapersonal values and beliefs affect professional relationships. 5. Advocacy skills that promote full client access to community services. 6. Understanding and ability to function in RHS interdisciplinary teams. 7. Assist in rehabilitation treatment planning. 8. Locate and access community resources. 9. Respond to supervision appropriately. 10. Understand a variety of interview and communication techniques. Internship settings can include public, private-nonprofit, and for-profit agencies and facilities such as rehabilitation hospitals, schools, mental health programs, group homes, community programs for persons with developmental disabilities, alcohol and other drug treatment programs, supported employment programs, programs for older people, correctional institutions, and children and youth service agencies. From my perspective, an internship assists with career development by providing real work experiences that provide students with opportunities to explore their interests and develop professional skills and competencies. During internships, students are provided with opportunities to apply what they learned in classes to actual practice. It is expected that students will also be challenged to examine how their attitudes, beliefs, and values influence the helping process. From the agency/facility perspective, an internship provides a unique training experience designed to enhance the professional development and functioning of the student/supervisee. In accepting students as interns, the agency/facility representative recognizes that the internship is a learning process designed to promote professional growth of the supervisee. Introduction to Toyata Safety Standards Toyata Enviorment Policy Body & Paint Repair Process Safety Protocols:- Body Repair Steps Paint Storage & Paint Making Paint Booth A paint spray booth is an area where the application of spray paint on vehicles can be controlled. The purpose of the booth is to provide increased efficiency and cleaner paint jobs, whilst also keeping employees safe from the hazardous products used. Spray painting can cause overspray and a paint booth acts as confinement area for this, therefore dangerous situations can be avoided and the main body shop can remain clean.Furthermore, a spray booth allows spray jobs of the highest quality to be carried out, due to the booth being a dirt and dust free environment Benefits Of Paint Booth Controlled Environment: There are a few common factors that can affect the finish of your vehicle’s paint job, such as temperature, humidity and dust. Controls Hazardous Materials: Hazardous chemicals found in automotive paints and other materials used in the repainting process release fumes and particles that can both harm your health and the environment. The advantage of a spray paint booth is that it filters these chemicals, to ensure they don’t pose a threat to the surrounding areas. Dust-Free Surroundings: If you eliminate dust floating about, you allow for an immaculate paint finish to be achieved. The lack of dust will lead to an even coat of paint on the bare metal, without any flecks of dust or debris landing on the wet surface. It can also result in an increase in the durability of the paint and coatings. Longer-lasting Finish: The controlled environment allows for a more stable application of the paint and base coatings, which in turn will increase its durability. By maintaining the air temperature, an even layer of paint can be applied to the vehicle, resulting in a smooth finish. In addition, these controlled conditions allow the paint and additional coatings to bond together well, creating a strong coat. Auto Detailing Auto detailing is an activity that keeps the vehicle in its best possible condition, especially cosmetic, as opposed to mechanical. This is achieved by removing both visible and invisible contaminants from the vehicle's interior, and polishing the exterior to its original blemish-free finish. The most basic detail options include an exterior wash and wax, interior vacuuming, window cleaning and surface polishing. Exterior detailing involves cleaning, and either restoring or exceeding the original condition of the surface of the car's finish (usually a paint with a glossy finish), chrome trim, windows, wheels, and tires, as well as other visible components on a vehicle's exterior. A wide array of detailing products and techniques are used, based on the vehicle's surface type and condition, or the detailers or customers preference. Products include, but are not limited to: detergents, surfactants, acid free degreasers (to break down dirt and soil), detail clay (to remove invisible microembedded surface contaminates), waxes, silicone and non silicone based dressings for plastic trim and tires. Buffing compounds and polishes to resurface and improve reflectivity of the paint finish, as well as a variety of applicators, brushes, and drying towels. Interior detailing involves a deep cleaning of the whole interior cabin. Vehicle interiors of the last 50 years comprise a variety of materials, such as synthetic carpet upholstery, vinyl, leather, various natural fibers, carbon fiber composites, plastics, and others, which necessitates the use of a variety of cleaning techniques and products. Vacuuming is standard, and upholstery stains may be removed using steam cleaning, liquid and foam chemicals, as well as brushes. Additionally, some nonporous surfaces may be polished. Car servicing For those who aren't that mechanically sound, understanding car servicing becomes challenging. However, you should know the basics when you take your car to the mechanic. You want to make sure you get it back in top condition from a safety and functionality point of view and also understand what happens to your car while it is there. Most cars have a minor and major maintenance scheduling cycle. The minor services usually take place every 10,000 - 15,000 km while the major servicing process is done around every 30,000 - 45,000 km depending on the model and make of the car, on how it has been driven, and the mechanic's recommendations. The service depends on how the car has been driven; for instance, if the car is driven in the city, it gives more pressure on it with continuous starting and stopping. Often it leads to additional work despite the basic servicing. There are various types of services available which includes: Basic Service: Basic services usually include a visual inspection and oil and filter change, the critical fluids in the engine such as anti-freeze, brake fluid, washer fluid, and steering fluid), are topped up. Also, to ensure the car is in the best condition possible, a check of up to 35 key components is carried out. The brakes are also checked according to manufacturer guidelines. Additional service is also recommended in case the car needs; however, not all garages do this. Full Service: A full service usually comprises extra 15-30 additional checks on the car's components in comparison to the basic servicing. Also, along with the basic service, if the car requires any additional maintenance work, there's an additional cost. Major Service: A major service consists of everything covered in a full service; however, it also includes a change of fuel filters, a change of spark plugs, and some other wear items/services that are suggested in the manufacturer's guidelines. This does not comprise any maintenance work or additional repair. Manufacturer's Service: A manufacturer service consists of all wear, maintenance, and service the car needs and is considered to be the most comprehensive and expensive service available. There is an extensive range of checks provided in the manufacturer's service, such as : - Oil and oil filter check and replacement - Brake fluid check and top-up - Anti-freeze coolant check and top-up - Windscreen wash check and top-up - Full brake check - Power steering fluid check and top-up - Steering check - Shock absorbers check - The other services include: - light check - suspension check - wheel alignment check - windscreen wipers check - exhaust check - charging systems check - charging system check - battery, pressure, and tyre tread check Toyota Express Maintenance Includes Oil & Filter Engine oil is vital to your Toyota's well-being.
