Paint the Town, Public Relations Internship Background: Paint the Town is a new paint party studio located in the heart of downtown. Classes are hosted three times a week and are open to the public. In each class, an instructor guides the class through each step so individuals can create their own version of a predetermined design. The studio provides a relaxed environment for guests to explore their creative sides and offers its space to private parties and events. Description: This is an unpaid internship that can provide one with lessons and experiences that can transfer to his/her chosen field. Requirements: Understanding of social media outlets: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. Understanding of InDesign or Photoshop Ability to coordinate fundraising events Ability to write a press release Proposal of “specials” or “incentives” to promote monthly A creative mind Responsibilities: The selected intern will help Paint the Town with tasks to maintain a relationship with the public and to create an image as a new organization in growing Mobile. Maintain social media accounts Convey Paint the Town’s message during downtown events, conventions and fairs Assist in coordinating monthly fundraising events o Deciding a partner non-profit o Naming the event o Designing flyers o Choosing promotional items o Contacting vendors for those items o Helping to promote the event through social media and guerilla marketing o Setting up on the event date
