COURSE OBJECTIVES:
The students will be able to develop simplified
manufacturing processes with the aim of reduction of cost and manpower.
 To understand the control of appropriate
process parameters and possible defects of
manufacturing.
 To understand about the various cutting tools.
 To understand about the jig and fixture,
machining gears.
COURSE OUTCOMES: THE STUDENTS WILL BE
ABLE TO UNDERSTAND
CO1 Identify and control the appropriate
process parameters and possible defects of manufacturing processes so as to
remove them.
CO2 Acquire knowledge about the various
cutting tools, newer machining and conventional machining process and
operations required
For these basic manufacturing processes.
CO3 To plan and create jobs using forging
processes.
CO4 Know the principles of various basic
knowledge about jig and fixtures used in industry.
CO5 To understand and plan for machining of
gears.
