Verbal and non-verbal communication Verbal Communication It consists of oral communication wherein the message is transmitted through the spoken words. The person gives words to his or her feelings, thoughts, ideas and opinions and expresses them in the form of speeches, discussions, presentations, and conversations. We can wave, point, beckon, and make other signals when talking or arguing with out even thinking. Different cultures may give different meanings to certain gestures. We have to be careful not to offend others if we go to a new place. What are some common gestures in China? Touch We can communicate our thoughts or feelings to others through touch.
