Planning a safe, appropriate and effective exercise/training session.
An exercise/training session is the time you spend on exercising or training
at one go.
An exercise/training session normally includes:
 A warm-up
 A workout
 A cool-down
This applies to health-related exercise sessions and to training sessions to
develop peak physical fitness.
Why have a warm up?
The purpose of a warm-up is to:
- To stretch the muscles
- Minimize the risk of muscle and joint
injury
- Prepare yourself mentally for the
workout
- To mobilise joint
- To practice relevant skills
