Tasks:
● Identify the three main types of volcanoes, as well as
understand their size, shape and composition.
● Understand the differences in volcanic eruptions.
● Research 2 active volcanoes around the world and
make notes of their location and type

Use this link to gather information on the three main
types of volcanoes (cinder, shield, composite/stratovolcano). Record information on the size,
shape and composition of each type of volcano. Feel free to create a table to summarise the
information.

Use this link to gather information about the different eruption styles. Make detailed notes on
3 different styles. Again, a table could be used to summarise the information.

Use this link to gather information on active 2 volcanoes around the world. Things to include:
a. Where it is located.
b. When it last erupted.
c. What type of volcano it is.
d. Any information about eruption type and lava flow.
e. Is it still active? When do they think it might erupt again?
f. Is it on a plate boundary? If so, which plates?
g. Include a picture of the volcano and a map of where it is found.
