English I Honors Trading Card Assignment 50 Points Working with a partner, create four trading cards, two for gods from “The Earliest Heroes” pp. 95 – 118, and two from “Stories of Love and Adventure” pp.119 – 158. (Groups of three—one in each class—will do six trading cards.) You may use Edith Hamilton’s text, or any other source to research the stories, but you must include a works cited naming all sources with your finished assignment. On the BACK of the card include (word processed, 12 points academic font) the following information: • Names of the Gods, Heroes, Lovers involved • Names of their parents – if applicable • Summary of their stories—be certain to explain what creation myth the story explains, the actions of and interested Gods, minor gods, etc. • Picture of what the story explains, i.e. the myth of Europa explains the naming of the continent of Europe.
