Group work techniques
These are two techniques that could be used to re-group learners so that they can exchange ideas.
Envoys
Each group sends a learner as their envoy, who visits every other group in turn, eventually returning to
their own group.

b) Jigsaw
Each learner belongs to a ‘home group’ which has its own scenario that they discuss as a group first.
Learners are then re-grouped into ‘consulting groups’ where scenarios are shared with members of other
groups, who offer suggestions and advice. Learners then report back to their home group, and arrive at a
decision about how to resolve the conflict.
