Tasks
- The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver
assigned power system studies and consulting in the area of
power generation, transmission and distribution. It is a
technical leadership role with requirements for mentoring
junior engineers.
- Interpret clients’ requirements, analyse complex power
system data, evaluate options, deliver power system study
projects including analysis of results, write high quality project
reports, deliver and present the results of analysis with
practical recommendations to Clients.
- Managing engineering process and study procedures &
rules and assuring quality of deliverable to the full satisfaction
of the client and within committed time lines reporting.
- Effectively manage time on projects to achieve both
technical and commercial objectives, schedules and project
timelines defined by the team lead and project managers.
- Resolve complex technical problems independently,
occasionally seeking input from others.
- Ensure and maintain effective communication with clients’
technical teams on the projects and be a technical expert and
reference in discussions with clients and partners.
- Continue developing technical competence and leadership
skills to deliver complex projects.
- Achieve high level of productivity.

Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering with specialization in
Power Systems; PhD degree in Power Systems is an
advantage.
- English proficiency and excellent report writing skills.
- 10+ years of experience with at least 5 years in Power
System Studies using power system analysis software.
- Strong knowledge of Power System modelling and analysis,
as well as programming skills.
- Knowledge of Power System planning, design, protection
and control.
Experience
- Power System analysis and design.
- Use of the following software for system studies:
- PSS/E, CYME, ETAP, SKM,
- PSCAD, ATP/EMTP, Matlab/Simulink.
- Programming in FORTRAN, PYTHON and VBA will be an
asset.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word,
Excel, PPT).
- Writing complex technical reports.
- Managing engineering projects.
