Tasks
Mission Statement:
Manage all aspects related to operations of a local Product
Group (PG) unit on supply side including the full scope of
Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality Control, Operational
Excellence and Logistics. Execute assigned PG R&D
projects. Manage resources and competences to support
execution of global PG.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Strategy
Implement the global Business Unit (BU)/Product Group (PG)
manufacturing strategy in the country within the area of
responsibility. Provides input to Global BU/PG strategy.
Develop proactive strategies to increase business profits,
customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness, and
manage resources and competences to support execution of
global PG strategy.
2. Performance targets
Ensure achievement of established targets, through oversight
and definition of improvement actions as needed. Focus on
achievement of Revenues, EBITA%, Operating Cash Flow,
Project On-Time and On-Cost, Requested OnTime Delivery and Quality PPM.

3. Manufacturing
Lead and manage manufacturing function and operation
teams and processes. Implement localization plan. Improve
manufacturing technology and competence in line with BU/PG
strategy.
4. Operation Excellence and Quality Control
Execute BU/PG operational excellence strategy and quality
standard. Drive operational excellence through target setting,
monitoring & benchmarking for innovative processes.
Maintain compliance with quality standards & execute quality
management processes for monitoring & improving day to
day quality control. Drive productivity, delivery performance
and cost optimization.
5. Procurement, Material Management and Logistics
Execute BU/Hub BU/Local BU sourcing and logistics strategy.
Manage procurement activities, spending and savings.
Ensure supplier delivery performance and quality; Manage
material availability, inventory and logistics.
6. Research & Development (R&D)
Support the execution of global R&D projects by providing
and developing R&D competences; ensure project delivery
and achieve agreed project targets.
7. Customer satisfaction
Deliver operational/project targets (e.g. OTD, lead time,
quality, ease of doing business, etc.) to improve Net Promoter
Score (NPS).
8. Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) integrity
Implement HSE and business compliance standards and
regulations within the units. Ensure a safe working
environment, continuous HSE improvement process and
integrity performance. Personally live the ABB values and
Group standards.
9. Standards and governance
Implement and ensure compliance with global and local
standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to
operations/project execution and share functional best
practices and lessons learned across the organization.
10. People leadership and Development
Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized,
staffed and directed. Build an effective, capable and high
performing organization. Develop talent, appoint managers
and review effectiveness.

Requirements
- Mature business manager 10+ years of experience in the
area of low voltage power distribution (Energy distribution).
Distribution enclosures is a strong asset.
- Strong natural leader with a required Professional Electrical
Engineer degree. MSC degrees will be an asset.
- Solid experience in Manufacturing, R&D, Project, Operations
and Quality management.
- Successful proven track record on new business or new
product start-up within large organizations.
- Results driven with understanding on financial impacts to top
and bottom line.
- Basic understanding of Codes, Standards and Certifications
related to power distribution enclosures.
- High value and standards on Health, Safety & Environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills both written
and verbal.
- Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary, multi-culturally
environment.
- Some experience in Sales and Marketing with basic
knowledge on Channel (steps) to market.
- Must be available to travel for 50%+ mostly in Continental
NAM and sometime in Europe.
- English mandatory, French is an asset.
