Must also be able to manage money very well and be able to comply with budget restrictions of clients. Other Requirements: Must be proficient in drawing software for plan views, elevations and 3D presentations. Must have experience in putting together story board presentations. Must have proficient knowledge of basic word processing and spread sheets. Work environment: Must be team oriented with ability to work with fellow employees, trade contractors, and suppliers in creating a seamless delivery of service to clients. Salary: Commensurate with Experience Job Responsibilities Interior Design 1. Assist in setting up and attending new sales calls with potential clients. 2. Responsible to obtain and document information, thoughts, budgets for desired home renovation projects on initial and subsequent follow up calls with potential. These notes are to be copied and placed in job file. 3. Based on above exchange of information, produce designs in agreed upon computer program that will be used for customer presentations, permit approval, construction documents. This includes plans, perspectives, elevations and details. 4. Assist clients with product selections, paint colors, fabric, etc. as desired by client. 5. Meet with clients and salesperson for design presentations and approvals. Manage timely adjustment of drawings and coordination of meetings, to meet client need. 6. Responsible for pricing of design phase of projects and delivery of design agreement and signing. Job Estimating 1. Assist with the establishment of job site meetings with trade contractors to review project scope and solicit pricing for jobs that PHC is estimating. Position does not have responsibility for actual development of estimates. 2. Accompany salesman as requested for delivery of proposals and be in position to update and answer questions regarding project design details. Job Interaction/Oversight 1. For each individual job, work with client to create a detailed selection sheet which will be furnished to production manager, client, and in office job file. 2. Communicate all selections to Project Manager, verbally and by providing all delivery time lines for materials for which the designer is responsible to order. This is to be done in an organized design/sales-­‐TO-­‐production hand-­‐off meeting. 3. Place all orders with suppliers for product selections. This includes cabinets, counter tops, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, tile, carpet and all other products that are attached to structure. (Note: Project Manager is responsible for ordering framing materials, siding, trim, windows and all structure materials. Project manager is responsible for the coordination of installation of all materials and products) 4. Design/decorating oversight by meeting with project manager, trade contractors and suppliers as required to assure proper layout, installation of critical components, and for quality control. Examples would be: -­‐tile layout on floors, walls, ceilings, backsplash designs, shower borders -­‐grout selections and communication of grout placement where different grout colors are being used -­‐any and all design details related to product installation -­‐counter top overhangs & coordination of client approval for slab layouts -­‐cabinet/trim installation and layout 5. Regular and on-­‐going communication with client as job progresses to ensure client satisfaction. 6. Document and store before pictures of all notable projects. Coordinate professional “after” photos at the end of jobs. PHC Interiors 1. Responsible for the day to day and ongoing management of PHC Interiors. 2. Constantly develop and search for suppliers for product lines that we can sell on a limited basis to include lighting fixtures, furniture, accessories, carpets, fabric, window treatments. 3. Choose product samples to show client in home for selection as required. 4. Accompany clients to showrooms of select vendors and suppliers for product selections. 5. Provide decorating consultations/services as requested by PHC clients and prospects. 6. Update PHC Website, PHC Facebook Page, and Houzz page, on timely basis with information regarding recent projects, new products, and other information of interest. General/On-­‐going 1. Build and maintain good rapport with trade contractors and keep lines of communication open. 2. Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with regular suppliers. 3. Engage in continuing educational opportunities, especially opportunities presented at the GBAHB and as offered by suppliers about new products/materials. It is also expected for Designer to become involved with the GBAHB Remodeler’s and to attend gatherings and events and to promote the Homebuilding industry as such. 4. Assist in lead management and developing lead-­‐qualification systems with PHC office staff. 5. Attend weekly staff meetings and be able to update team with any proprietary information. 6. Utilize established PHC systems including: Google calendar, filing system, lead reporting, mileage reporting, timesheet reporting, and Sage 100. 7. Be committed to an on-­‐going improvement of the PHC system. Annual 1. Assist with annual Remodeler's Showcase in Pelham (including being present at the show in PHC booth that weekend) 2. Attend periodic builder's shows/expos; frequency TBD 3. Maintain professional accreditations, as needed. 4. Assist in the creation and entry of annual AREA award submissions for notable projects.
