A Resolution encouraging Austin Peay State University Felix G. Woodward Library to
allow individuals without an Austin Peay State University College Identification Card
into the library after 9pm, if they are accompanying an Austin Peay State University
Student with an identification card.
WHEREAS, SGA exists to “make sure their thoughts and needs are heard and addressed
to increase their quality of life,”
WHEREAS, students without I.D.’s are being turned away from entering the library even
when accompanying students entering with I.D.s
WHEREAS, this change would allow the access of students needing to access the library
in a time of need even if they may have misplaced their I.D., or lost it.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE 64th GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
AUSTIN PEAY STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT GOVERNMENT THAT:
Section 1: Upon passage of this Resolution, the Student Government Association will
issue a formal recommendation to the President’s Cabinet and the Felix G. Woodward
Library to explore the possibility of making the Felix G. Woodward Library a guest
friendly facility.
