4 Whereas, Facebook is a popular social network that most college students have readily
5 available that

7 Whereas, most students ignore the “gov says” e-mails and are more aware when
8 reading announcements on Facebook

10 Whereas, the Austin Peay State University page already promotes both athletic and
11 student events

13 Whereas, students can sign up to get status updates on their phone through Facebook
14 mobile, therefore creating easier access

16 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE 65TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
17 THE AUSTIN PEAY STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT GOVERNMENT
18 ASSOCIATION THAT:

20 Section 1: Upon passage of this resolution a formal recommendation will be made to
21 IT to send both e-mails and update the official Austin Peay State University with the
22 daily Gov Says announcements.
