Whether you’re just starting a small business or are already established, this workshop provides an overview of the tax options available to you. If your taxes are done by an outside professional, you’ll gain a better understanding of the returns that you’re signing. Santiago Canyon
College’s Community Services program offers “Tax Workshop for the Small Business Owner”
to teach business owners how to prepare and understand simplified tax returns. The seminar will be held on
Tuesday evening, October 18 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Santiago Canyon College.
Topics taught in “Tax Workshop for the Small Business Owner” include understanding tax forms, self-employment tax, estimated tax, expense deductions, depreciation, new tax law highlights, record keeping methods and more. Instructor Dave Westerfield is president of Westerfield &
Associates, a firm specializing in computer consulting and training for business and industry.
