Prepare to enter the digital age by taking “Computers for Beginners” on Saturday, February 11. Offered by Santiago Canyon College’s Community Services program, this class is strictly for beginners. You’ll learn computer and software basics in a non-intimidating environment with other novice users. In “Computers for Beginners” you’ll identify the different parts of a computer and learn basic terminology. Discover the difference between an operating system and a software program, and get an overview of word processing, spreadsheets and databases. The instructor is Dori Dumon, a multimedia web designer who has taught computer applications for 14 years. She is also a part-time instructor at Santiago Canyon College. “Computers for Beginners” meets this Saturday, February 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Santiago Canyon College in room B-106.
