Job Title: Membership Administrator

SUMMARY
The position is responsible for administration of assigned membership programs, initiatives and
activities. Includes communication and coordination with staff in all SPE offices and lines of
business as well as contact with members and leaders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
SPE Connect



Administers SPE Connect platform; manages assigned communities; handles day-to-day moderation and
maintenance; serves as primary contact and conducts training as necessary.
Promotes awareness internally and externally for SPE Connect and recommends ways to leverage the
platform to benefit members and increase engagement.
Recommends additional SPE Connect communities and platform enhancements.
Membership Development and Recognition








Implements membership recruitment programs and contests, such as the Membership Development Awards,
Century Club and Section and Student Chapter Membership contests.
Interfaces with Higher Logic, IT and/or Personify Data Analyzer to generate reports as assigned.
Monitors the membership dues renewal communications timeline and coordinates with appropriate staff for
implementation according to established deadlines and escalates exceptions to supervisor.
Conducts year-end reporting for membership, volunteerism and awards.
Works closely with Customer Service staff on dues renewal activities; is a Personify Super User.
Prepares and compiles content for pages of SPE.org, region, section and chapter web sites and online
communities as appropriate.
Coordinates logistics of the Key Club at ATCE as assigned.
Supports the International and Regional Awards Programs as assigned.
Volunteerism


Administers Volunteer Recognition including: ensuring accurate data; promoting; implementing recognition
activities, etc.
Supports and serves as secondary subject matter expert for volunteer initiatives and the volunteer
management system including committee creation and maintenance.
Assists in training staff and members on use of the SPE Volunteer system
General






Helps support assigned committees, subcommittees and work groups including scheduling, logistics,
participation and preparing written meeting summaries/minutes.
Documents and updates procedures and processes.
Participates in and contributes to marketing campaigns and promotional activities as assigned.
Attends meetings and events as assigned.
Participates on inter-department teams and works on special projects or initiatives as assigned.
Supports the Senior Manager, Membership as assigned.
Job Description
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and sufficient related experience in upper level
administration and program implementation.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Experience using online tools (Google Analytics, etc.)

Strong degree of initiative (“can-do” attitude)

Proficient with MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint

Familiarity with managing content on websites or online communities


Excellent communication skills

Ability to perform with minimal supervision

Understanding of statistical concepts and their application in data analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to analyze
complex data sets to gain insight from them, then present findings effectively in graphical form to
allow ease of understanding.
