PART II: Questions
FIRST Category : Main points of the topic.( 15 )
The aim of these questions is to assess the main knowledge and skills of the student which show the minimum that the student
should acquire.
Question No. 1:
Give the full meaning of each of the following terms. Give examples.
Tourism, Hotel, Scheduled Flights, Sustainable Tourism, Package Holiday, Trivialization, Twin room.
Second Category : practical applications and analysis skills ( 25 )
The aim of these questions is to assess the student's ability to analyze and comprehend Information In addition to his ability to apply the Information
in a practical way.
Question No. 2:
Answer the following questions and explain in detail what is meant by each of them.
Give examples.
1) Draw an organisational chart of a five star hotel, showing its main departments and their
main functions.
2) The tourism and hospitality industry is seen by many people as a
‘labour-intensive’ industry.
3) What do we mean by a Motel and how it is different from a Hotel? Specify the main
differences between them with examples.
4) The tourist destination choice process is based on a set of motivations and factors,
give example showing the different motivations and factors that are involved.
5) Tourism bridge the gaps between nations and creates world peace.
THIRD Category : Unfamiliar problems solving ( 10 )
The aim of these questions is to assess the students' ability to use the information they learned to solve unfamiliar problems which appear in life and the
degree of intelligence to deal with it.
Question No. 3:
In your own opinion, could we consider Jordan as a ‘Tourism-Friendly’
destination? Explain and justify your answer. Give examples.
