HOME TO SCHOOL AND SOCIAL CARE TRANSPORT

That a Central Passenger Transport Unit is established to commission and
manage all home to school and social services transport.
That a detailed action plan be implemented within the agreed timescale.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The scope of the review was to cover all aspects of transport between home and school or
college together with transport required within various social services functions. The
provision and management of passenger assistants is also covered within the review. The
report provides a structured set of recommendations for each of the topic areas in the project
and approval is now sought to implement these recommendations.
