Population Health and Prevention Recommendations: Advocate as a field that the US Task Force for Preventive Services and the Task Force for Community Preventative Services work on MH issues and integration into primary care as well as revise the evidence standards Advocate that health reform prevention $$ focus on MH promotion and include such partners AHRQ, CDC, SAMHSA, NIMH, HRSA Recognize the role of Public Health Advocates in promoting MH in their communities Invite national partners to biennial MH surveillance meeting at CDC on September 8, 2011 Identify group to integrate and develop shared language, goals, and resources Population Health and Prevention Recommendations (cont’d): Create online “healthy people” community that includes advice for improving personal and community health. Make sure that MH and SA are part of this work and that the work in the community also includes MH/SA issues.
