What is the human rights situation of persons living with albinism in your country or in any country you are familiar with? Are they considered a particular social group? The People’s Advocate Institution is organized and functioning to protect the rights and freedoms of individuals in their relations with the public authorities. There were no complaints coming from individuals or from any of the other categories stipulated by the law concerning problems of persons with albinism. People's Advocate did not action ex and not found any such cases in mass- media. 2. What measures, if any, (legislative, administrative, institutional, or other policy/measures) have been put in place in your country to ensure the elimination of violence against persons with albinism and their protection from all other human rights violations? The People’s Advocate Institution is not aware of this issue. 8. Do religious/spiritual institutions in your country play a role in helping persons with albinism? Are they effective in preventing attacks against these persons? The People’s Advocate Institution is not aware of this issue. Under the provisions of art. 29 al. (5) of the Constitution of Romania ʺReligious cults shall be autonomous from the State and shall enjoy support from it, including the facilitation of religious assistance in the army, in hospitals, prisons, homes and orphanages.ʺ 9.
