Director Purpose Purpose: Organize and direct the operations of the Institute for Research Technologies while planning and pursuing growth of the Institute's components. Essential Functions Function 1: Work with Administrative and academic leaders to provide instrument support to IRT users 20 % Time Function 2: Act as liaison between IRT and its users 20 % Time Function 3: Implement and update charges rates, as outlined in OMB A-21 and UT Arlington policies 20 % Time Function 4: Promote the IRT and its services to area academic institutions and commercial and federal entities. 10 % Time Function 5: Provide researchers with support documentation specific to their grant applications. 5 % Time Function 6: Direct day to day operations or the IRT 25 % Time Marginal/Incidental Functions Marginal/Incidental Functions: Other functions as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Must hold an earned doctorate in appropriate field of research. Must have familiarity with grant application procedures and granting entities, strong organizational skills, good interpersonal relationship skills, and ability to multitask.
