4. Construction Documents – Interpretation of drawings you will need, show examples
a. Develop preliminary documents
5. Construction Cost
a. Use square footage calculators found on web.
b. Estimate construction costs for your building using:
i. Similar projects
ii. Construction cost estimators
iii. Personal experience
c. Architectural fees are 10% of construction cost
6. Preconstruction Meeting
a. Determine what is important to deliver a successful project to the owner
b. Schedule or time line to complete construction. Remember
i. Architectural design and drafting take time
ii. Permits take time
iii. Most construction is started in March
7. Project Participation
