However, this sequence illustrates that a bubble pair generated while squeezing through the narrowest constriction of a shark-tooth cell does not necessarily reconnect while approaching the subsequent cell. Here the two bubbles move through a number of cells without reconnecting. Note that the trailing bubble gets trapped alternatingly to the left and to the right in the wake of the leading bubble.
