What are we learning this week?
Math: We are writing and solving
addition and subtraction story
problems.
Reading/Writing: Students should
bring home their guided reading
baggie and sight word baggie each
night for practice and they need to
bring them back to school each day.
We will continue to work on nouns
and character traits. We will be
writing stories with lots of description.
IB/Social Studies/Science: We will
learn about what it means to be a
good citizen and will research some
historians that exemplified it. We will
learn about Benjamin Franklin,
Eleanor Roosevelt, and Francis Scott
Key.
4. Anytime you notice your child making
a number or letter backwards, please
show them how to make it correctly
and have them fix it. Also, capital
letters should only be used at the
beginning of a sentence, I, and proper
nouns. All other letters should be lower
case.
