With the implementation of Windows 7 operating system, the current version of Brio (6.6) is no
longer compatible. UMHS Finance has purchased a site license for Hyperion Interactive
Reporting. It is the Oracle/Hyperion rebranded, web-based replacement for Brio and is
Windows 7 compliant.
Currently, Financial Systems is working on the detail of the hosting of the infrastructure with
MCIT/MSIS/ITS. As we work through the details, any new developments will be communicated
to UMHS.
If you have Brio installed on your PC today, please do not upgrade to the Windows 7 operating
system. Please talk with your IT Desktop support and they will work with the Windows 7 team to
upgrade your PC at a later date.
UMHS Cons became available to all users the week of August 19th. Training sessions will be
held in September, users can sign up for training via MLearning website - UMHSCONS, Code #
UMHS-52599 https://mlearning.med.umich.edu/login/
UMHS Cons is a consolidation of all UMHS data into one environment (EVPMA, Medical
School, Hospital & Health Centers, Michigan Health Corporation). For more information, check

A new Forecast vs. Actual report has been added to the Departmental Reporting, Actual vs.
Actual dashboard. This report is available for those departments that chose to spread their
forecast at the Department level.
Updates have been made to the FTE Dashboard. We have updated all reports to include all
hierarchy fields (Segment, Consolidated Operations Group, Operational Group, Functional
Group, Admin/ACU, Department, AHD).

With the implementation of UMHSCONS, the Hyperion Planning – Finance application will be
retired as of September 30th.
