financial products and applications used to support the financial reporting, planning and decision
making of the UMHS Finance Organization.

The UMHS Health System will be upgrading operating systems from Windows XP to Windows
7, by the end of the calendar year. With some investigation we have found that our version of
Brio is not compatible with Windows 7.
If you currently use the Brio application, we asked that you email
FinancialSystemHelp@med.umich.edu before April 18th, with the following information;

UMHS Financial Systems has been working with ITS and MCIT on the firewall issues that limit
users from accessing Hyperion remotely. We have identified a solution, using Campus
VPN. While this solution allows you to access Hyperion remotely, we recognize it has
limitations. All firewall issues have not been resolved and we will continue to work with the
Technical Teams to resolve these issues.
Things to note, when using the Campus VPN:

Novell Network Drives are not accessible
Microsoft Outlook will launch, but will not connect to the network
UMHS Data Mart is not accessible
UMHS Home page is not accessible (http://www.med.umich.edu/i/)
You can use the U of M home page (http://www.umich.edu) to utilize Wolverine Access
for Hyperion (Workspace)
You are able to connect to Microsoft Lync.

Once you have completed your task in Hyperion, you will need to disconnect from the Campus
VPN and reconnect to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client. You will also need to log into your
Novell Network Drives.
