SUPPLIES YOU NEED TO BRING TO CLASS EVERYDAY:


Three Ring Binder (at least 1”)
 Pencils/Paper
Scientific Calculator (You CANNOT use cell phone/IPOD as calculator!)
 Textbook
 Highlighters
Grades:
Each quarter grade will be determined using the following percentages:
 60% Tests and Quizzes
 10% Final Exam
 30% Classwork/Homework
These percentages are used throughout the entire math department.
Tests and Quizzes:
Tests and quizzes will always be announced. A test will be given at the end of each chapter. There
will be 1-2 quizzes per chapter. We will cover approximately 6 chapter a semester.
TEST MAY NOT BE RETAKEN!
Homework:
Homework is a very important part of this class. It is your chance to practice the topics we
covered in class and see what you have mastered and what you may need some additional help with.
Homework will be assigned every class. I will provide time to answer homework questions at the
beginning of every period. Please be sure to ask questions during this time if there is anything on
the homework you had trouble with! All homework assignments are worth 10 points. LATE work is
worth have credit. You must turn in late work BEFORE the chapter test!! After the chapter test,
NO late work will be accepted for that chapter!
Extra Help:
Please do not be afraid to ask me for extra help if you begin to feel behind. I am
more than happy to help! If you would like to come in after school then come see
me so I can make plans to stay after.
Important Websites:
You can access the online textbook by going to myhrw.com. This is a great way to
cover the material learned when you are absent.
ABSENCES:
If you are absent it is YOUR responsibility to get missing work and get caught up!!!!
Being absent is NOT an excuse for late assignments. However, you will have the
same number of days you were gone to make up missing work.
