College Leadership Team Minutes December 3, 2014 Present – Marsha Lupi, Jennifer Kane, Megan Possinger, Linda Sciarratta, Cathy O’Farrell, Karen Patterson, Madalina Tanase, John Kemppainen, Chris Janson, John Venn, Candice Carter Call to order – The meeting was called to order at 9:35am. Minutes- The November 5 and November 19 minutes were approved with minor edit. Announcements Fall 2015 Internship applications are posted on the COEHS website and ready for students to download and apply. The deadline for submission is February 6, 2015. Spring 2015 interns…Dr. O’Farrell has been visiting the field II courses to prepare students for their internship. Dr. O’Farrell is confirming final confirmations from the schools. Fall 2015intern seminar is Monday, December 8th. Department Chairs gave Dr. Eastham their technology needs. Linda Sciarratta would like to start ordering before the Holiday break. December 8th – There will be a Dean’s Search Committee meeting to review and make a recommendation to the Provost. Farewell to Dr. Candice Carter – celebrated with pound cake and sparkling “non-alcoholic” cider. Spring 2015 Enrollment Dr. Lupi, Dr. Kane and Department Chairs discussed enrollment for the spring 2015 semester. Faculty Support Grant Review – (JKane) Dr. Kane distributed copies of the four submitted applications for the Faculty Support Grant for review. Dr. Kane will provide a rubric; the deadline review date is December 12. Strategic Plans (MHL) Feedback will be provided before the end of the year. Ed. D. debriefing (C Janson) Dr. Godwyll has crafted a response to the external program review report supporting the recommendations that were made. There was a recommendation received to clarify the purpose and mission of the program. COSMA sport management received their accreditation Search Updates (MHL) Department chairs shared their search committee updates with Leadership Team. AACTE Proposed Federal regulations (MHL) Dr. Lupi will provide a handout of the proposed AACTE federal regulations. FERPA (J Kane) The registrar’s office does not recommend sending grades via email. Blackboard is acceptable and more secure. Department Chairs will share this with their faculty. Other Business ISQ Faculty cannot require students to complete ISQ or other course evaluations.
