Room 319 1415-0036 Prime Sponsor: Mendli Recommendation President’s Signature Co-Sponsors: Date Introduced: 3/23/15 Date of Voting: Final Vote: Sens Present Yea Abstain Nay VP Senate Affairs Signature Whereas, it is the Ithaca College Library’s responsibility to provide adequate collaborative space for student academic activities, Whereas, the Ithaca College Library has limited study space available to students, and its availability is near capacity during exam periods, Whereas, Room 319 on the third floor of the library has been the largest collaborative room with capacity of up to 30 students, and has been equipped with 10 computers available for students for group projects, Whereas, the Ithaca College Library closed student access to the room and dismantled all computers of that room, Whereas, the current room remains largely unused. In the previous block only 4 classes were scheduled there on a weekly basis, It is resolved that the Ithaca College Student Government Association recommends the reopening of Room 319 and the reestablishment of the dismantled computers in the library, It is further resolved that if, for whatever reason, the reopening of Room 319 is not possible, the Library provides an alternative collaborative space for students and reinstates computers in another location in the library.
