Whereas, Ithaca College strives to foster an environment that values diversity
of opinion and background,
Whereas, Terrace 03’s H.O.M.E. Program accommodates international students
in their transition from their countries of origin to Ithaca College and the
United States, and also allows them to stay on-campus over school breaks,
Whereas, the H.O.M.E. Program broadens the global perspectives of domestic
students, MLK Scholars, and Park Scholars.
Whereas, because of the new FYRE Housing Policies, Residential Life has not
yet determined the H.O.M.E. Program’s future after the 2013-2014 school year,
It is resolved that Ithaca College Student Government Association formally
recommends that Residential Life continues the H.O.M.E. Program in any
capacity that retains the current goals of the H.O.M.E. Program after the 20132014 school year.
