To achieve success in Mathematics this year you should practice and abide by the following:
I.
Classroom Rules:
 Respectful behavior to everyone in the class will be demanded at all times.
 If you are absent, it is your responsibility to get class notes and homework assignments. If you miss a test or
quiz it is your responsibility to see me to come up with a time and location to make it up.
 NO CELL PHONES are to be seen or heard in the classroom.
 Please be in your seat working on the do now exercise when the bell rings.
II.
Students MUST bring the following to class everyday:
 A gray (or white) binder filled with loose-leaf to be used ONLY for math
 Pens, Pencils, Straightedge

III.
Graphing Calculator (TI-83 or 84 plus) ****MANDATORY****
Homework:
 Homework will be assigned at least 4 nights a week.
 There is no textbook for this course so all of the homework assignments will be worksheets distributed in
class.

Extra Help:
 Extra help will be before school at 7:30 am. I can be found at the math department, which is Room 341 or in
Room 335. Additional extra help is available for students; all they have to do is ASK!

This class will end in the Common Core Algebra Regents Exam which is required to graduate
high school.
VIII. Students will NEED a graphing calculator to achieve success in Algebra. The school store is
selling calculators at a discounted price or they can be purchased at any local supply store. Have
students place his/her name on multiple parts of this calculator.
